Job DescriptionJob Description

Join us as a Development Associate in Baltimore, MD, US, where you will be a key player in advancing LTYC's financial growth through strategic development efforts.

Your primary responsibilities will include fostering relationships with corporate donors, soliciting philanthropic contributions, and securing partnerships with businesses. In addition, you will coordinate scheduled field meetings, scout potential fundraising prospects, and contribute to shaping the organization's fundraising blueprint.


This role is part-time, requiring a monthly dedication of 20 hours.

Compensation:

$30 - $35 hourly

Responsibilities:

Corporate Giving:

  • Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and secure corporate donations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners to maximize giving opportunities.


Philanthropic Giving:

  • Research and identify potential philanthropic donors.
  • Create compelling proposals and presentations to solicit philanthropic contributions.


Sponsorship:

  • Identify and pursue corporate sponsorship opportunities aligned with LTYC's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of sponsorship agreements.


Pre-Approved Field Meetings:

  • Organize and coordinate pre-approved field meetings with potential donors and partners.
  • Represent LTYC professionally and effectively communicate its mission and impact.


Fundraising Opportunities:

  • Proactively seek out and assess new fundraising opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the development team to create and execute effective fundraising campaigns.


Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with existing donors and partners.
  • Provide excellent stewardship to ensure ongoing support and engagement.


Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in fundraising, corporate giving, or related fields preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with donors and corporate partners.
  • Proactive and able to work independently to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.


Availability:

  • Must be available for occasional evening or weekend events.

Since its inception in 2004, LTYC has continuously expanded its programming, geographic outreach, and calendar, expanding stronger relationships among schools, students, families, and the community.

LTYC has been able to impact the lives of more than 160,000 students, ranging from grades K-12. Many of our students come from schools in Baltimore City and surrounding areas that are in dire need of arts education and behavioral intervention. Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
