Overview of the Role:
  • Partner with Plant Management; provide financial and operational support to help drive the strategic direction of the plant in order to deliver plant objectives
  • Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly and annual plant level operations reports, assisting in ensuring plant processes are within required budget and prepare reports to summarize plant activities and key variances
  • Assist in preparing plant annual operating plan and budget


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • Provide local guidance and analytics on plant financial performance, including process improvement initiatives
  • Prepare and analyze reporting on plant key performance indicators
  • Review and analyze plant inventory transactions including assisting in evaluation of plant inventory
  • Evaluate and analyze plant transaction ensuring compliance with company accounting procedures and guidelines
  • Reconcile all physical inventories ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines and procedures
  • Provide local support to corporate cost accounting team to implement all new systems and reporting
  • Review and analyze standard cost of all plant products,
  • Manage and obtain approval for all requests on capital expenditures


OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ensure compliance at plant level with corporate internal control guidelines and procedures
  • Prepare monthly journal entries as needed and participates in special projects as appropriate.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/OTHER SKILLS:
 
  • BS/BA in Accounting preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in another discipline in combination with 5 years of experience as a Plant Controller
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience, in manufacturing required
  • Experience with ERP systems. SAP preferred
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Track record of working in cross functional organizations and leading a team
  • Excellent business partnering, influencing and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with demonstrated ability to convey ideas to a diverse audience (Finance and Operational Partners)
