Inventory Control Specialist

Reily Foods is seeking a skilled Inventory Control Coordinator to ensure the quality and accuracy of all inventory in the Plant. This role involves executing cycle counts, completing physical inventories, conducting food safety audits, and supporting Quality department initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts cycle counts and corrects discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy and prevent aging
Handles all documentation within the inventory system, including transfers, returns, and journal entries for damages, donations, and reworking of product
Works with the Quality Manager to complete the non-conformance report (NCR) process and determine rework product for distribution
Determines the disposition of damaged product and investigates product damages and causes
Provides feedback to supervisor and leadership regarding issues with product trends
Collaborates with Quality Manager on the product hold/release process
Validates receiving documentation against the bill of lading (BOL)
Troubleshoots inventory issues as they arise
Assists with internal audits for food safety
Follows all safety procedures and actively participates in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and personnel, reporting any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
Supports and complies with GMPs; understands and follows emergency action plans
Ensures the operation provides food-safe, quality products that meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
MRP System/AX09 experience preferred
Cycle counting and/or inventory management experience a plus
