About the Role

Embark on an exciting career journey as a Battery Manufacturing Facility Electrical Design Engineer in our dynamic GID Engineering team. Join a group of passionate engineers and contribute your mechanical expertise to shape the future of sustainable energy solutions. Your work will directly impact the development of state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facilities, making a real difference in the world.

What You Will Do

• Design Innovation: Collaborate with a team of experts to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative mechanical systems for cutting-edge battery manufacturing facilities. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will be crucial in optimizing system performance, efficiency, and sustainability.

• Technical Expertise: Utilize your extensive design experience in developing detailed and accurate system designs. Your expertise will ensure seamless project coordination and collaboration. Perform QAQC review of project interim deliverable packages (30%, 60%, 90%, IFC) and ensure adherence to design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.

• Code Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including ASME, NFPA, and ASHRAE. Your knowledge of these regulations will guarantee the safety and reliability of the facilities.

• Sustainability Integration: Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient practices into your work. You will play a key role in reducing the environmental impact of our facilities and promoting sustainable manufacturing practices.

• Teamwork and Communication:

o Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical, process, and controls engineers, to deliver high-quality and integrated mechanical systems. Your strong communication skills will foster a positive and productive work environment.

o Effectively participate in project meetings, presentations, and progress reports, effectively report issues, and provide recommendations

o Foster positive and collaborative relationships with project engineering teams, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service.


What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience for buildings-related design projects

• Battery manufacturing, semi-conductor manufacturing, petrochemical plant design experience is plus

• In depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, etc

• Ability to manage projects and prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SKM/ETAP/Easy Power

• Professional Engineer License is preferred
