An incredible opportunity has presented itself for an Employee Health/Infection Prevention Nurse at Black River Memorial Hospital (BRMH). The Employee Health/Infection Prevention Nurse plays a pivotal role in meeting patients, personnel, and organizational needs by leading, planning, organizing, and controlling activities in Employee Health and Infection Prevention (EH/IP) programs for the organization. This opportunity is:
- Full-time, 80 hours per pay period, Monday – Friday, full benefits

Essential Duties:
- Develops, coordinates, implements, and monitors all phases of the Employee Health & Infection Prevention Programs for the organization and its staff (i.e. immunizations, surveillance, periodic health maintenance, etc.) needed for ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies standards.
- Conducts periodic risk/needs assessments, audits, and tracer activities to identify quality and infection prevention gaps. Prepares, creates, and maintains records, reports, statistics, and other documents and files as required.
- Communicates with the Infection Prevention Medical Director, assisting in the identification, control, investigation, follow-up, and resolution of infectious outbreaks affecting patients, community, and staff.
- Develops, promotes, and conducts wellness activities, health education, training, and education on infection prevention and quality improvement for all employee levels, utilizing educational theories and principles.
- Collaborates with HR Department on worker's compensation and OSHA programs to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or associate degree in Nursing required
- Minimum of three years of experience as an RN in a hospital setting required
- Minimum of one year of experience in either employee health or infection prevention position preferred
- Certification in infection prevention is preferred; Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required within three years of hire
- Current licensed Wisconsin RN
- Successfully performs the RN job description qualifications
