SUMMARY

Repairs and maintains all types of rental equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets and assists customers in the yard area.
  • Answers phone and questions from customers.
  • Performs light maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Assists with cleaning equipment when necessary on rental returns and rental check-outs.
  • Handle field service calls as needed when dispatched (on an occasional).
  • Drive to machine location.
  • Disassembles unit and inspects parts for wear.
  • Assist other mechanics as needed.
  • Perform PM maintenance and other require services.
  • Relines and adjusts brakes and repairs leaks in radiators.
  • Knowledge of ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels.
  • Writes service reports.
  • Orders parts when necessary.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write service reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to fulfill the essential functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Perform tasks from verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and fellow employees.
  • Build competencies and share skills with other technicians, retain acquired knowledge.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school or GED and/or one to two years of equipment experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver license class C or higher. Must have a clean D.M.V. report.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $30.00 $33.00 Hourly

Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability.
