Licensed Psychiatric Technician

Amergis is seeking a skilled Licensed Psychiatric Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Client Care: Manage patient/client care effectively and safely, promoting good interpersonal relationships with patients, family, and healthcare staff.
- Treatment Planning: Work with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Nursing Procedures: Administer medications, perform nursing procedures, and provide basic level of general behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled clients.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, family, and healthcare staff, utilizing strong spoken, written, listening, and nonverbal communication skills.
- Training and Development: Assist in the training of Psychiatric Technician Trainees, Psychiatric Technician Apprentices, and other ancillary staff as needed.
- Licensure: Current Licensed Psychiatric Technician license for the state in which the technician practices.
- Experience: One year of psychiatric experience in a similar setting within the last three years preferred.
- Language: Proficiency in the English language is required.
