Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWelder: Stillman Valley, ILOur customer in Stillman Valley, Illinois is a leading manufacturer seeking motivated individuals to join their growing team. As a Welder, you would be responsible for various types of weld preparations, finishing operations on Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel, and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and other forms of product instruction. Responsibilities of the Welder:There are two levels of welders with similar responsibilities.
  • Parts Welders
    • MIG welds parts such as leg stands, cab shields, engine mounts, light bars, etc.…These welders also can perform MIG tack welding to hold two pieces of steal together in place, prior to the finishing welders.
  • Finishing Welders/Cosmetic Welds
    • Straight Line MIG weld, Fillet MIG Weld, in position and out of position MIG weld, which is one of the most difficult welds to do with consistency.
Welder Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in assigned welding techniques
  • Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirements
  • Ability to read Blueprints and use a measuring tape
  • Knowledge of wire and filler material applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and other materials as needed
  • Working knowledge of fixture and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
  • Conventional and precision measuring instruments
  • Process inspection, certification, and documentation
  • Welding equipment maintenance
  • Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
  • Safety and Housekeeping
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Pay for Welder: Starting at $18-$21/hour.Welder Benefits:
