SCOPE OF WORK: To perform receptionist and general clerical duties at the Dr. Goldie Crocker Wellness Center. This position reports to the College Mgr., Student Life at NHTI - Concord’s Community College.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Monitors and controls Wellness Center Fitness facility and gymnasium;
- Maintains usage log for Wellness Center and prepares reports as required;
- Orients customers to ensure facility users comply with proper use and care of equipment, safety, rules and regulations;
- Assists with the planning, organizing, delivery and evaluation of programs and/or workshops;
- Supports the operations of Wellness Center Office, as needed;
- Assists staff members as needed;
- Reports safety concerns to management and the Chief of Campus Safety in a timely manner;
- Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations;
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school or equivalent credential.
Experience: No experience required.
License/Certification: None required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current first aid and CPR certification preferred. Experience in recreation, health promotion or fitness programs. Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff and the public. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Some knowledge of proper English usage and grammar. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to learn assigned clerical tasks readily and to adhere to prescribed departmental procedures. Ability to make simple arithmetical computations and tabulations accurately and with reasonable speed. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college appointing authority.
