Wellness Center Transportation Driver

Are you a reliable and safety-conscious driver looking for a rewarding role? We are seeking a skilled Wellness Center Driver to join our team at Middlesex School.
Job Summary:The Wellness Center Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to medical appointments and ensuring their safe return to campus. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive Middlesex students to medical appointments and ensure their safe return to campus
- Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle when needed
- Visually inspect the vehicle before beginning the day's assigned trips
- Timely report any mechanical issues with the vehicle
- Re-fuel and perform basic maintenance on the vehicle fleet as needed
- Ensure the vehicle starts and ends the day clean
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely
- Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English
This role requires working in a vehicle environment, outdoors in all weather conditions known to the New England environment.
Physical Demands:- Prolonged periods sitting in and driving a vehicle
- Intermittent standing and walking
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted
- Frequent operating of arm and leg controls on the vehicle
In the vicinity of the school campus.
Required Education and Experience:- Education sufficient to read, write, and speak as needed for the job
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver's license
- Able to successfully complete CHRI, CORI, and SORI checks
