Outpatient Mental Health Receptionist
Ellie Mental Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate individual that will be responsible for matching clients with therapists and completing the scheduling process. The Mental Health Receptionist position is accountable for answering inbound client phone calls, managing online scheduling requests, scheduling appointments, returning voicemail/email messages/text messages, follow up on outstanding insurance, and assist with appointment reminder calls.

This position is part time, Monday through Friday, 20-30 hours per week. The position is fully remote with a schedule between the hours of 8am and 5pm Central Time (exact hours to be determined). Opportunity for more hours as position will help fill in during staff vacation and absences.

$20 - $25 per hour

This is a W2 position. Candidate must live in (or around) Omaha to attend training in person and meet with clinic leadership as needed.

Ellie Mental Health will provide a laptop. Candidate will need to have a working smart phone. Given the remote position candidate must have a quiet work environment when speaking to clients.

Essential Job Functions and Duties:
  • Handle incoming/outgoing client communications (phone, e-mail, website) across 3-5 Ellie Mental Health clinics.
  • Matching clients with the best therapist to meet their needs, and in accordance with insurance in-network status and therapist availability.
  • Scheduling client appointments.
  • Assist with appointment reminder calls and insurance eligibility verification.
  • Disseminate client needs to Providers, Clinic, and other Administrative Staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality according to clinic policies and HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Necessary Skills/Abilities/Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years experience as medical receptionist.
Solid understanding of Office 365 applications and confident in learning new phone technologies.
Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Must be able to demonstrate calm, rational thinking and clear communication when faced with customer demands.
Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) system Valant is a major plus (candidates with this experience will be given preference).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Exceptional customer service skills.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20-25 per week
