This is a remote position.

Job Summary:

The Patient Collections Representative services outbound and inbound calls from patients regarding billing inquiries, concerns, or related matters. The Representative provides a positive customer service experience that meets the needs of our patients by educating them on their bill, listening to concerns, and addressing issues.


Essential Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Make outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding balances and missing or incorrect insurance information.
  • Answer escalations from our high-volume inbound customer call center.
  • Resolves balance disputes and provides access to assistance options to patients.
  • Collects and processes payment information from patients.
  • Utilize laboratory billing system and other reporting resources to troubleshoot and address patient billing issues.

Qualifications:

· Education/Certifications:

§ High school diploma or equivalent.

· Competencies:

§ Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.

§ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

§ Experience with Laboratory Billing Applications (Telcor and/or XIFIN preferred).

§ Excellent PC skills including MS Office applications.

· Experience:

3+ years in healthcare patient billing call center role, laboratory is preferred.
