Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor waste handling processes.
  • Inspect facilities to detect existing or potential accidents and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Investigate on-the-job injury claims to ensure safe practices are followed.
  • Lead the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material and evidence for organizational use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
  • ERT: Maintain records for injuries.
  • Develop and implement routine safety audits to identify and correct non-compliance conditions.
  • Ensure all records/reports for EH&S and Facilities are prepared, and submitted, when necessary, on a timely basis
  • Manage disposal of used or discarded chemicals that are no longer needed.
  • Maintain copies of Air Emissions Standards, Environmental Compliance Reference, and regulated chemicals list
  • SWPPP: Maintain spill carts to standards.
  • Keep inspection records and emergency plans updated.
  • Maintain the AerSale - Millington Contingency Plans; implement, and review proactive programs designed to foresee and respond to environmental accidents.
  • Maintain all Environmental hazards satellite areas; 90 day holding area and all required documentation in accordance with DOT, RCRA, EPA and all local state and federal entities.
  • Develop and aid in the implementation of critical safety programs, hazard communication programs, and emergency planning.
  • Ensure safety standards are being followed in accordance with local state, federal and OSHA.
  • Plans, implements and train site personnel on various Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Respond to safety and/or environmental emergencies.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 Years of EHS and Facility Technician experience required.
  • Hazmat Certification
  • HAZWOPER 40 HR Certification
  • CPR/First Aid with AED Certification
  • RCRA Certification
  • DOT 49CFR Certification
  • SDS Catalog Update
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Local OSHA, EPA, and applicable agency regulations
  • Knowledge and experience with EH&S requirements and reporting
  • Self-motivated, strong planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with current software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
  • Excellent communication skills
