AerSale Inc is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to join our team. As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for the proper receipt, teardown, inspection, part/material requisition, assembly, and test of aircraft avionics components in accordance with approved technical data.
Key Responsibilities- Perform work assignments as determined by the shop management, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with approved technical data, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize appropriate inspection techniques, calibrated equipment, and test equipment to ensure the highest quality of work.
- Record information and accomplish work assignments in compliance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and Quality Policies and Procedures.
- Assist Department Manager and Engineers with new capability development of repairs received.
- Maintain open two-way communication with Manager and team members, sharing both good and bad news.
- Provide timely quotes of units, maintaining gate 1 and gate 3 timelines.
- Maintain personal and shop-calibrated tools in satisfactory operational condition.
- Comply with all safety directives and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- High school diploma or GED
- FCC certification
- 2-5 years of combined bench or line experience working on Avionics components, performing teardown, inspection, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft Avionics components.
- Extensive knowledge of Avionics components, including ADF, Radio altimeter, VHF, HF, VOR/ILS, Radar, DME, Transponders, Steering computers, Instrument amplifiers, Radar indicators, Digital air data computers, Baro rate computers, Gables panels, Power transformers, and Antennas.
- A&P License
- FCC certification
- Associate degree in Electronics
- 2 years of aviation Avionics experience
- Knowledge of and ability to operate various test equipment, scopes, analyzers, and flukes.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
The employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull, stack, reach above shoulder level, or carry light-weight materials.
Safety Hazards of the JobExposure to hazardous chemicals, abrasive blast residue, paint fumes, and high-pitch sound may occur. Personal Protective Equipment is required in specified areas.
