Position Summary

Impyrian is seeking a skilled, experienced and hands-on Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects with a strong focus on quality control and health & safety management. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded, hands-on, and responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Management:
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
    • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
    • Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met according to the project schedule.
    • Manage project budgets and resources efficiently.
  2. Quality Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control plans and procedures.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
    • Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of quality control activities according to Impyrian standards.
  3. Health & Safety Management:
    • Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings, trainings, and toolbox talks.
    • Ensure all site personnel comply with safety regulations and practices.
    • Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses.
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  4. Communication and Reporting:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients.
    • Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project.
  5. Documentation and Compliance:
    • Create and maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
    • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Manage and document any changes to the project scope.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on quality control and health & safety.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent health & safety training.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the construction site for extended periods.
