Site Superintendent

We're looking to hire a Site Superintendent to help manage residential single-family projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Holistic Quality Control on Construction Projects
  • Work with Construction Manager to Plan + Implement Construction Projects 
  • Coordinate On-Site Crew and Subcontractors, Plan + Manage Daily Construction Tasks 
  • Identify and Resolve On-Site Conflicts 
  • Coordinate with Inspections
  • Plan + Implement Site Safety Protocol
  • Coordinate w/ Architect + Consultants
  • On-Board and Train New Staff
  • Communicate with Clients
  • The ability to speak Spanish is a plus

Educational requirements:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Construction Related Field, or Equivalent Experience 

Experience requirements:
  • 2-5 Years Prior Experience in Construction, Project Management, and Team Leadership

Desired Skills:
  • Understand All Aspects of the Construction Process, Possess Technical + Trade Knowledge 
  • Ability to Read + Interpret Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Other Documents 
  • Understands best practices of job set-up, management, and the timeliness of decision making
  • Demonstrates systematic commitment to all job set-up best practices, fostering close collaboration and communication between all team members
  • Can determine the necessary roles and responsibilities for a successful job, assess the assets of team members, make clear assignments of responsibilities, and consistently follows up with the client
  • Can assume responsibility for material management, including subcontractors, to assure that materials are delivered to the site in a timely fashion, in the manner field staff requires, and of the quality that complies with the project-specific quality control program
  • Demonstrates capability to oversee timely and fair punch list completion, resolve all “routine” change orders, and timely delivery through closeout submittals leaving the customer with a positive view of Haven

Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a team environment with members of varying skill levels.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and basic internet/web application use.
  • Maintain positive relationships through courteous and respectful actions.
  • Must have a smartphone with a data plan
  • Must possess a valid NC driver’s license
  • Highly motivated, Learns quickly.
