Responsibilities

  • Dish-washing, pot & pan washing, kitchen equipment cleaning.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas throughout the shift.
  • Various deep cleaning and maintenance projects in front and back of house.
  • Maintaining service ware in a well-organized manner.
  • Follow NYC Department of Health regulations.
  • Support kitchen staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of porter and/or dishwasher experience in a café, restaurant or food service business.
  • Strong work ethic, well organized, focused, attentive to detail with a sense of urgency.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude.
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Respectful of fellow employees, managers, and vendors.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, reach bend, and stand throughout an 8-hour shift.

Base salary: $19.00/hour

Benefits: PTO, 401K, Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Transit, and FSA (Flexible Spending Account)
