Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the property to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Sanitize and deep clean high-touch areas at a high frequency.
  • Bag and dispose of trash, garbage, and recyclables in accordance with Department of Sanitation rules.
  • Keep receptacles and recycling areas clean and sanitary.
  • Help to maintain the building free of pests and vermin.
  • Prepare spaces for meetings and events as needed.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with residents while encouraging social distancing and quarantine policies as needed.
  • Participate as a team member and work collaboratively with building staff to assist tenants and ensure continuous deep cleaning and sanitation of the building.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of janitorial/cleaning experience.
  • Compliance with background and fingerprint checks required by funding agencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior work experience with homeless/mentally ill individuals is helpful but not required.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Highly organized.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and systems savvy.
  • Compassionate and personable.
  • Team-oriented.
Work Environment:
  • Indoor office.
  • Facility grounds.
  • Work site is in a residential and/or hotel building.
  • Outdoor work required.
