Job Summary: This position has shared responsibility for select tasks surrounding General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as noted in the Primary Responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities: Major include the following activities:


  • Accounting
  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Prepare detailed general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Execute and assist with month-end close
  • Reconciles discrepancies in general ledger balances as assigned
  • Accounts Payable
  • Prepare and process invoices in QuickBooks, accurately and timely
  • Review and verify vendor statements as needed
  • Establish new vendors in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Verifies and processes employee expense reports in accordance with company reimbursement policies
  • Reconciles monthly payable reports, confirming payment accuracy
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in accounting documents and reports
  • Maintain 1099 vendor files for accuracy and up to date W9’s for tax reporting
  • Prepare and process weekly vendor payments via checks
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all accounts receivable transactions.
  • Generate invoices and account statements
  • Post daily customer payments against invoices
  • Researching and resolving account discrepancies
  • Reach out to customers regarding past-due invoices
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Maintain database of customer tax exemption certificates
  • Assist Salvo and Financial Management with other ad hoc requests.

Requirements:

Skills

  • English is the primary communication language.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and coordinate across departments when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks.

Education, experience, certifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • Prefer an energetic, out-going individual with strong interpersonal skills who can communicate clearly orally and in writing.

Physical and mental demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • This position is on site, no remote work option.
