The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of sustaining the design and development of our product(s). This role will be responsible for ensuring that the product(s) developed meet(s) all regulatory requirements and remain safe and effective throughout the life cycle. The position may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential responsibilities as determined by necessity.

 

This role is located at the Company’s Headquarters located in Woburn, MA.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff responsible for maintaining existing medical products.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including quality, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure that the product remains compliant with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction in the product lifecycle and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring that the product remains safe and effective throughout its lifecycle by overseeing design changes, product testing, and risk management.
  • Developing and managing budgets, schedules, and resource allocations for sustaining engineering projects.
  • Working with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns and providing technical support as needed.
  • Maintaining documentation and records to comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

 

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in medical device development or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and product lifecycle management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage one's own time and tasks.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.



Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facility.
