This person will need to successfully collaborate with our internal technical and operations teams while serving as the main interface and point of contact of for our customer during and after the launch.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage customer/s program to maximize Gross Profit and ROI, commercial aspects of complete program to include contracts, sales, pricing, suppliers, and outside services. Main interface and point of contact with assigned customer/s. This person will work closely with Engineering Project Mgr and be a Liaison between Quality, Commercial team, Operations, and key customer contacts. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
This position is for a Program Manager to coordinate and facilitate activities related to launches and ramp up of new business opportunities for the operation, especially automotive and complex programs. The main objective for this position is to take new business opportunities from concept to reliable & standard production flow while meeting customer required capabilities and profitability targets. After launch, program manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of key programs, driving process optimization, and delivering measurable results. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Define, recommend, and implement customer objectives; develop specific short-term and long-range plans and programs together with supporting budget requests. Direct forecast for customer requirements and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
- Direct supervision of customer-specific Project Engineer on all tasks.
- Develop, propose and manage pricing strategy with internal resources; Present to customer for review and approval.
- Manage customer requirements and process for quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Analyze customer requirements and determine production improvements and/or additions. Ensure that customers’ specific requirements are properly interpreted.
- Provide leadership in the application of continuous improvement techniques for office and operations.
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products to customer.
- Identify scope changes and communicate the change throughout the organization.
- Support plant management in preparation of manpower and facilities requirements based on sales forecasts and present them to executive Staff; Suggest standard procedures, practices, and policies that are appropriate.
- Provide an environment conducive to employee involvement and participation. Develop, maintain, and supervise subordinate personnel as assigned or designate work to other functional managers.
- Direct the manufacture of all Plant products at lowest cost consistent with established specifications as to quality and quantity.
- Under supervision of CCO, visit customer HQ and operation locations both domestically and internationally as needed to enhance relationships with customers for long term success.
- Coordinate and collaborate with all departments internally in establishing and carrying out responsibilities and across voestalpine group companies to support the customer globally.
Schedule: This leadership position is overtime-exempt and will primarily work eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Some travel may also be required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Management or equivalent
- Ten or more years’ related experience in manufacturing setting.
- At least 1-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience with new product launches, project planning and management
- Experience as a primary customer contact for commercial and technical matters
- Strong communicator with ability to lead and work with people at all levels in an organization
- Computer skills / PC / Microsoft Office / Microsoft Project or Similar
- Lives or wiling to relocate within a commutable distance of Shelbyville, KY/Louisville, KY area
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or MBA or relevant business experience
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience with Six Sigma (Green belt or Black belt)
- Experience with roll forming or related metal forming processes
