PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
- Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to the current economic landscape.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
- Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies.
- Ensure financial performance meets or exceeds projections as established by locations in concert with the Chief Executive Office and Chief of Operations.
- Ensure financial close meets or exceeds requirements as established in concert with the Chief Executive Office and Chief of Operations.
- Ensure the company and operating locations have sufficient funds to meet short and long-term obligations, minimize financing costs, and maximize returns on investment.
- Ensure that the company has identified, assessed, and prioritized potential risks that could impact business operations.
- Schedule job-specific training throughout the calendar year, which may include a team-building activity before or after the training.
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, adhering to national and local legal standards and remaining knowledgeable of proposed legislation.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Oversee and support the accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
- Manage special projects as required.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Financial Acumen: Ability to meet or exceed projected NOI (Net Operating Income) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, showcasing strong financial management and strategic planning skills.
- Timeliness & Accuracy: Proficiency in closing prior month financials by location, completed by the 15th calendar day of the following month, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Analytical Skills: Capability to complete month-end cash analysis by location by the 3rd business day following month-end and review findings with CEO and COO, reflecting strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Strategic Communication: Skill in distributing established KPIs to evaluate the critical parts of our company and its operating locations by the 15th calendar day of the following month, ensuring clarity and alignment in strategic objectives.
- Leadership & Development: Commitment to conducting training with the team quarterly (can be via TEAM's), which may include field personnel on key topics and new technologies, illustrating dedication to continuous improvement and team development.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective solutions, crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and achieving financial objectives.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt strategies and tactics in response to or in anticipation of changing business conditions and regulatory environments.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication, ensuring team alignment towards common goals.
- Innovation: Continuously seek and integrate innovative practices and technologies to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards, safeguarding the company against compliance risks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Ten or more years of professional accounting experience
- Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
- Exemplary history of financial project management
