Summary: As a contract specialist you will provide administrative support through the preparation of owner, sub/supplier or prime contracts and maintenance of contract requirements and files.  

 

Essential Duties:  Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

 

  • Maintain files, including filing of project contracts and insurance in electronic format.
  • Type a variety of documents, reports, and records.
  • Provide backup for effective preparation of subcontracts and material contracts by assembling all required information collected from various departments.
  • Assist with data entered and maintained in company software and programs, i.e., Procore, DocuSign, Jones and AIA Documents
  • Coordinate preparation and logging of contract requirements.
  • Support the process of reviewing Owner and Prime Contractors’ insurance documents to confirm adequate and complete coverage is in place, prior to work commencement including coordination of decisions regarding exceptions and overrides and determine necessary escalation.
  • Complete Owner and Prime contract preparation.
  • Stay current with changing technology, including companywide software and department programs.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to company safety policies.
  • Effectively plan work and organize “with end in mind” by developing a pathway through anticipating needs and priorities.


Qualifications: 

 

Education/Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Business Administration; and/or two years related experience/training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
