Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to geriatric patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or physician
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and organized patient records and documentation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive and personalized care
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly patients
  • Follow infection control protocols and adhere to safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice
  • Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric nursing
  • Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly patients
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in new environments
  • Flexibility to work in different locations
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and transfer patients
  • Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Benefits

Location: Prairie Village, KS

Pay Rate: $1,080 Weekly@36 hrs.

Class/Area: LPN GERI

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Length of Assignment: 4 weeks

Hours per Week: 36

Shift and Time: 700-1900

Schedule Details: Full Time

Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

On-call Requirements: No

Holidays Requirements: As scheduled

Floating Requirements: Must float to similar units Experience Required: 12 months experience in last 18 months

Experience Preferred: PCC Charting

License Required: KS State License

Certificates Required: BLS
