The Kitchen Specialist at our Indiana Overnight Property is responsible for food preparation, cleaning, and serving meals. The Kitchen Specialist will also help to create an environment where guests, staff and volunteers are well cared for while modeling our Core Values. This is a part-time seasonal Opportunity from May to August for summer camps.

Requirements:
  • Attend team evening and morning meeting Bible study.
  • Follow the schedule set by the Dining Hall Manager.
  • Prepare meals according to dietary needs and plan.
  • Maintain a safe and clean kitchen and dining hall.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Dining Hall Manager.

Secondary Job Functions

  • Participate in a variety of guest group specific tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for guest groups during the summer.
  • Participate in a variety of tasks and responsibilities to facilitate the SpringHill Experience for Family Experiences during the summer.

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

  • Commitment to the mission and ministry philosophy of SpringHill.
  • Provides additional support and assistance to the team as assigned and/or needed.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift, bend, and twist.
  • Ability to push and pull loads.
  • Must be able to lift frequently up to 35 lbs.; occasionally 35-100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
