JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Assistant Supervisor is responsible for directing supervisors in various tasks and functioning as their point of contact to coordinate with employees. Will aso provide guidance, support, direction and leadership through positive interactions with all personnel during the daily plant operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Comply with Eco Material Safety Policies and Procedures

· Assisting the plant manager in creating a safe working environment, ensuring implementation of plant safety policies, procedures, and programs

· Making recommendations and assisting the plant manager in developing the operating plan and monitoring results against the plan. Assist the plant manager in other matters such as, but not limited to safety management, quality assurance, office administration and risk management.

· Directing and coordinating the activities as assigned to obtain maximum efficiency of operations to meet operational needs

· Leading a team of employees with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and operations

· Training and coaching supervisors and hourly personnel

· Conferring with the plant manager to establish working schedules for all of operations

· Oversees ordering of maintenance supplies

· Supervising equipment/facility maintenance operations including the preventative maintenance program

· All other duties as requested or assigned

· Strong verbal communication skills for conveying instructions, reporting issues, and collaborating with coworkers and supervisors

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions

· Manages time effectively and meets productivity standards

· Observes safety and security procedures including using equipment and materials properly and following all safety absolutes

· Capacity to deal with problems and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions

· Works well with others and coordinates tasks with coworkers to achieve project goals

· Consistently punctual and reliable

· Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime

· Ability to adapt to changing job site conditions, equipment requirements, and project priorities

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment

· Problem solving and decision-making ability

· Proven leadership abilities

· Able to multitask

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The employee should have the following:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· 1-2 years' experience in a relevant field

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

· Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable

· Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out

· Prolong standing or sitting in stationary position

· Required to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

· Complete repetitive movements

· Bend and/or twist

· Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders

· Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds

· Ability to move or traverse about the facilities

· Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions

· Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
