Employee Type: Full-Time (1st shift)
The Gage Technician shall provide calibration for all measuring devices, control their condition, status and calibration intervals. This position will overview Company’s need for additional measuring equipment in order to meet production flow and adequate inspection process. Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing industry desired- 5 years.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Control of use of measuring and test equipment
•Ensure that all measuring equipment is adequately calibrated
•Update and maintain a calibration recall system
•Review and maintain all certificate of conformance for external calibration labs
•Verify need for new gages and measuring equipment purchase
•Set test equipment for the production
•Provide training for proper usage of measuring devices for the machine operators
•Control test equipment in designated area to prevent unintended use and damage
•Repair damaged measuring equipment
•Remove damaged or out of calibration measuring equipment from production area
•Control calibration records
•Ensure handling protection and storage of gages
•Assign sequential serial numbers for proper identification
•Perform investigation for product accepted by equipment being out of tolerance
•Set and prepare measuring equipment for machine operators
•Maintain Gage R&R process
