- Patient coordination: Identify and schedule appropriate patients for ambulatory visits, while also assessing patient needs via phone conversations and providing necessary referrals.
- Chart management: Prepare patient charts and route tickets for upcoming appointments, ensuring accuracy of insurance coverage and necessary documentation.
- Patient counseling: Guide new patients and those with new injuries through the intake process, ensuring all required information and authorizations are obtained.
- Data management: Maintain accurate demographic and insurance information for patients, utilizing computer systems efficiently.
- Proactive support: Take initiative in organizing routines, procedures, and skills, and assist physicians as required during patient care.
- Financial management: Handle billing and payments, reconcile charges and receipts, and ensure proper documentation of patient visits and diagnostic codes.
- Office upkeep: Open, close, and maintain the clinic office, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Equipment maintenance: Assist in maintaining patient care equipment, reporting malfunctions promptly for resolution.
