Job Overview:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- MedSurg at West River Health Services, you'll play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). Your dedication and compassion will contribute to the overall well-being and comfort of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
- Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration for patients as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for patients.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment to promote infection control and patient safety.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA certification program.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of North Dakota.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
