Employment Training Program Specialist/Food Service Aide

Employment Training Program Specialist (ETP) Position - Part-Time
Working in our Employment Training Program, you will be serving youth who live in one of Wedgwood's 10 residential homes. You'll mentor youth ages 15-18, while helping them develop various hands-on and vocational skills that they can bring with them upon their departure from Wedgwood. Some of these skills include, but are not limited to: resume building/interview skills, customer service, lawn care/landscaping, wood working, car detailing, janitorial skills, sewing, etc
Hours: 24 hours per week. Shift times vary between 9am-8pm Monday-Friday, and every other Saturday.
*This position has the potential to turn into a permanent full-time role next Spring.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma is required
- Prior experience working with adolescents and or prior supervisory or teaching experience is preferred
- Lawn care experience preferred
- Woodshop/carpentry experience is preferred
- The ability to lift at least 50 lbs. of stationary weight is required
- The ability to bend, twist, stoop and bear weight of materials is required
- For transportation purposes must have a valid driver's license
- Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goals, purposes, and objectives of the agency.
Food Service Aide Position - On-Call Coverage
Under the supervision and directives from the Food Service Supervisor, the Food Service Aide may put away stock from deliveries, assist with food preparations, and performs other kitchen related tasks as assigned.
Hours: Monday- Thursday, 7am-4pm, hours based on department needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma required
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Prior experience in food preparation is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.
