Job Summary: The Social Media Assistant will support the Social Media Manager in creating and executing social media strategies. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends, and has excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) that aligns with the brand’s voice and strategy
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, news, and competitor activities
  • Engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule and publish posts using social media management tools
  • Track and report on social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Assist in the creation of social media graphics and videos using design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities for content and engagement

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices
  • Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social)
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
