Job Description
Zuckerman Investment Group is looking for a Finance Manager to join our team. This position is unique opportunity to participate in the growth of an established wealth management firm and offers great growth potential. This position is located in Chicago, Illinois with a hybrid home/office work arrangement.
This position will be hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and execute the firm’s financial reporting function. Responsibilities include maintaining the firm’s books and records, financial reporting packages, cash flow forecasting, annual business filings, budgeting, tax returns coordination with various corporate entities and other projects.
- Execute the client billing process, which includes management fee calculations, reviewing client invoices, collecting receivables and reconciling billings and cash collections.
- Manage the firm's private investment funds, including maintaining books and records, valuations, investor reporting, tax and audit.
- Oversee, execute and verify the firm’s investor reporting process
- Manage relationships with key firm vendors, including CPA firms for tax return preparation and private fund audits and insurance brokers. Oversee contracts and coordinate payments.
- Other finance related projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of experience in a large accounting firm
- Highly organized, extremely detail-oriented and ability to solve complex problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Intuit QuickBooks
- Certified Public Accountant(CPA)
