Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering technician to join our client's

Manufacturing Department. This position is responsible for performing activities necessary to manufacture medical devices and performing activities necessary to support manufacturing engineering initiatives.

Summary

Work will be performed on the product as required throughout the product lifecycle, from prototype manufacturing to the finished device. Duties include but are not limited to routine and non-routine manufacturing activities related to central supplies, solution mixing, tissue processing, warehouses, utilization of ERP systems, support of product builds and engineering testing, and packaging/shipping devices.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Follow company policies and procedures while performing assigned duties
  • Maintain clear and accurate quality records
  • Assist with performing dissection on tissue
  • Perform assembly of delivery systems and delivery system accessory devices
  • Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform assembly operations for medical devices
  • Perform chemical solution mixing and sampling
  • Operate water system and take samples for water system monitoring
  • Clean and disinfect manufacturing tooling and supplies
  • Operate equipment required for production (e.g., autoclave, pH meter)
  • Perform line clearance (e.g., cleaning and sanitizing workstations at the start of a shift and when transitioning work orders, etc.)
  • Perform packaging and labeling of products to be shipped to contract sterilizer, test laboratories or other destinations
  • Perform venous valve-related testing and inspections, such as hydrodynamic and durability testing, as well as delivery system functional and non-functional testing as required.
  • Maintain the R&D laboratory and the operational condition of the valve test systems and other relevant equipment.
  • Generate and execute qualification protocols (whether separate or combined) for installation, operation, and performance of the valve testing systems.
  • Wash and prepare materials for production use
  • Perform in-process and final inspection of devices
  • Utilize ERP system or other software to maintain control of inventory in warehouse and production environments, including segregation of non-conforming items
  • Assist with receiving inspection of raw materials
  • Take part in engineering product builds to support design and process iterations

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Strong background in process optimization, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement.
