GMCO is growing and is looking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant. This is a part-time Monday-Friday position with a company that has been in business for 60 years and values honesty, integrity and commitment. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with prior accounting or bookkeeping experience to join our team. This position is responsible for answering and directing phone calls and assisting with some bookkeeping functions including Accounts Receivable and company credit cards.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Answering telephones professionally and directing calls
  • Company credit card reconciliation
  • Accounts Receivable collections
  • Review/Approve customer credit applications.
  • Accounts Payable statements and filing
  • Open and distribute mail.
  • Complete other duties as necessary or assigned by Management team.


Work conditions:

  • Part-time
  • Monday-Friday
  • Office



Requirements:



  • Previous QuickBooks experience
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles to include Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and is a team player.
  • Possess and uses good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency and accuracy on computer; strong skills in Microsoft operating systems and QuickBooks Desktop.
  • Ability to multi-task and exercise good time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrate ability to relate to people and deal effectively in difficult situations.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the accounting field
