Founded in 2018, the company is fundamentally changing the way humanity is powering our world and storing clean energy with breakthrough lithium-ion technology and energy storage solutions.

Job Description

This role will manage the EPC and ancillary projects necessary for the deployment of EnergyX’s pilot and demonstration plants to the field.  EnergyX leads a diverse team of scientists, researchers and mining experts all of which provide input into our highly integrated “go to field” strategy.  This position will be directly responsible as the “single point of contact” for daily interactions with major local and international EPC firms, managing the expectations, deliverables and interfaces to insure the successful deployment of our facilities in the field.  This person will be required to manage multiple projects of small to medium complexity, both US-based and internationally.  For the purpose of this project, English and Spanish fluency is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of in-field pilot and demonstration plant deployment projects, ensuring successful execution within schedule, budget, safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations to develop and implement comprehensive project plans and strategies.
  • Lead project meetings, setting clear objectives, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive measures to mitigate them.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to procure materials and equipment, including the negotiation of contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, quality control and assurance procedures and industry best practices throughout project execution, fostering a culture of safety, quality and adherence to protocols.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, providing leadership and support to project teams while promoting innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to in-field pilot and demonstration plant deployment, integrating new knowledge into project strategies and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience managing EPC projects in an owner’s or contractor’s role.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, facilitate collaboration, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of motivating teams, resolving conflicts, and achieving project objectives.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting, specifically with strong experience using Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project and the Autodesk suite of design tools.
  • Deep understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, quality control and assurance procedures and risk management principles in EPC projects.
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites both locally and internationally as required and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Prior experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment is highly desirable, demonstrating agility, creativity, flexibility and a results-driven mindset.
  • English and Spanish fluency is required.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Equity plan
  • Health insurance
  • 401k with Employer contribution
  • Paid time off and holidays
