Do you want to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Tri-County Head Start is seeking an experienced, energetic full-time Early Childhood Education Director. Lead a mission-driven team working to support low-income and at-risk children and families in beautiful Southwest Colorado. TCHS strives to build positive, goal-oriented relationships with children, families, and staff to engage them in all facets of early education.

This position is responsible for overall program compliance with the child development performance standards and state licensing for Head Start and Early Head Start. The ECE Director leads the development and tracking of Tri-County Head Start School Readiness Goals and child assessments. The position supports curriculum implementation at all center locations. This position oversees professional development and coaching for staff within our program. Knowledge of Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, Teaching Strategies Gold, ECERS, ITERS, and CLASS Observations required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Early Childhood Education or unrelated bachelors with equivalent ECE coursework, and has experience teaching preschool-age children (preference to applicants with 4 or more years of teaching experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyze program data and present results
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work in a team or as a project lead

Salary: Full-time/full-year position with an annual salary of $67,964.52 to $75,136.10 depending on education and experience.
