This position is located at Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.

This position is not eligible for telecommuting.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor the control, and display infrastructure of the local area networks for failures
  • Configure metric interface systems in preparation for daily operations
  • Provide system status as requested by the users, dispatch support personnel to the range customers as needed
  • Maintain daily logs in a clear and legible format
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail both visually and written
  • Ability to self-motivate, initiative and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Ability to work effectively as a team contributor or independently while communicating and coordinating work efforts with coworkers and customers

Required Experience

  • Associates degree in Information Technology, related degree, or equivalent two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in operations and maintenance environment
  • Experience working in a Microsoft Windows desktop environment
  • Customer service experience, preferred

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $33.09 to $38.66 per hour.
