Position Summary:  The Trial Equipment Specialist provides day-to-day functions of the Trial Equipment department. The Trial Equipment Specialist verifies for correct software, packs, enters outgoing device information into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and ships devices. The Trial Equipment Specialist does all the necessary shipping paperwork. This position works closely with The Trial Equipment Supervisor, Training, and Funding departments to quickly resolve issues. This position occasionally works with the consultant network to collect, reassign, and send out non-sales devices and Accessories. The Trial Equipment Specialist maintains high product quality standards by adhering to quality procedures and work instructions. This role also contributes to continuous improvement activities to achieve key performance indicator (KPI) targets and other goals and objectives set for the department.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Supervisor in implementing established procedures and suggests improvements.
  • Confirms devices were cleared and all software versions were updated.
  • Processes shipments for all outgoing non-sales devices through the ERP system.
  • Pulls parts according to pack list and packs in a professional manner.
  • Ships devices through the FedEx machine.
  • Follows up with customers who have overdue Service Loaners.
  • Extends Trial/Eval dates when appropriate and approved.
  • Stocks shipping supplies and sends orders to Shipping Supervisor for supplies.
  • Works closely with the Sales Department to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Inputs shipping notification data for eval loans, including customer numbers, emails addresses, etc. into return merchandise authorization (RMA) Maintenance.
  • Maintains a safe work environment.
  • Reports weekly shipping numbers to the Trial Equipment Supervisor.
  • Helps to develop additional staff via cross training.
  • Achieves high quality standards by following established procedures and work instructions.
  • Provides equipment for trainings, conferences, exhibits, camps, and new product trainings.
  • Maintains the device installed base and the device status in the ERP system.
  • Strives to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain good working relationships.
  • Receives return for credit items into the ERP system and distributes returns as necessary.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities to achieve key performance indicator (KPI) targets and other goals and objectives set for the department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to effectively deal with the public.
  • Be flexible and willing to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Customer service experience is highly suggested.
  • Microsoft Office training or experience preferred.
  • An understanding of the PRC-Saltillo Consultant Network and its function within the company is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of an ERP system and software used within the department is preferred.
