The National Sales Manager for North America will profitably sell the entire product portfolio for Betafence USA for Perimeter Security is a key leadership position responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion within the perimeter security segment.

The National Sales Manager will supervise and coach the regionally based sales team for the Residential, Light Commercial and High Security products. This role involves leading a team of sales professionals, developing strategic initiatives, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve sales targets and enhance market presence by building strategic partnerships to enhance the company's position as a leader in the security industry.

Key outside duties include but are not limited to: Development of new customers, new market application of existing products. Optimize and increase the sales of all Betafence USA products.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Planning:
    1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share in the perimeter security segment.
    2. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
    3. Set ambitious yet achievable sales targets with their team and develop action plans to ensure their attainment.
    4. Accountable for reaching the targets in sales turnover and profitability in the North American Region.
    5. Accountable for Account and Territory plans for the quarter, the year and a 5-year growth plan.
    6. Work with end users, contractors, and specifiers to support with the expansion of our brand and products to increase our footprint in different sectors.
    7. Work in coordination with Estimators, Cad and Project Coordinators to ensure proper quotations and subsequent delivery of submittals to support with the CTO reviews and order release process to be execute by supply chain and production within the proper timeline to meet the delivery dates.

  • Team Leadership and Development:
    1. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales goals.
    2. Provide guidance on sales techniques, product knowledge, and market positioning to enhance team performance.
    3. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training and development initiatives as needed.
    4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective account management practices. Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
    5. Manage the sales team and work with all departments including finance, procurement, estimating, production, Cad, Project Managers, design, and marketing. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Customer Service, Commercial Satisfaction Manager, Quality, and other team members.

  • Key Account Management:
    1. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key accounts and strategic partners to drive sales opportunities and maximize customer satisfaction.
    2. Develop account plans and strategies to expand business with existing customers and acquire new accounts.

  • Market Expansion and Business Development:
    1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the perimeter security market, including verticals such as commercial, industrial, government, and critical infrastructure.
    2. Develop and nurture relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, and other industry influencers to generate leads and secure projects.
    3. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company's solutions and establish thought leadership.
    4. Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
    5. Work with marketing to maintain flyers, brochures, website with up-to-date product and contact information and work with marketing for lead generation and marketing campaigns for lead generations.

  • Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    1. Monitor sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives.
    2. Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate sales results, forecasts, and insights to senior management.
    3. Utilize data-driven analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
    4. Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies, analyzing trends, and results.
    5. Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for US by segment; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

  • Product and Market Knowledge:
    1. Maintain a deep understanding of the company's product portfolio, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
    2. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to perimeter security.
    3. Share insights and expertise with internal teams to support product development, marketing strategies, and customer support efforts.

  • Education and Industry related Experience:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or related field
    2. Minimum 8 years of outside sales experience; 2 years in fencing, construction, architecture, or other related industry.
    3. Minimum High School Diploma, or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    4. Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably within the security industry or a related field.
    5. Knowledge of perimeter security solutions, access control systems, video surveillance, and related technologies.
    6. Knowledge of Betafence USA products and/or solutions for Perimeter Security
