Instructional Coach/Intervention Specialist Grades 9-12

Status: Full Time, Exempt

Reporting To: Upper School Principal

Starting: August 12, 2024


Qualifications:

  • A current Ohio Intervention Specialist license-mild/moderate (K-12) with experience in a 9-12 setting working with neurodiverse students is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through
  • Must be a committed Christian who is comfortable in a multi-denominational Christian community

Duties/Description:

  • Provide academic coaching to students to help them identify and address their personal learning needs, in order to increase academic achievement and bolster skill-development
  • Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to analyze data to interpret the abilities of students and identify struggling learners and assist in developing and implementing classroom intervention strategies
  • Employ and share the latest findings to help classroom teachers diversify their teaching practices and tailor their classes to support a diverse community of student learners
  • Collaborate with student, parents, and teaching team to develop and keep current accommodation plans for students with documented disabilities
  • Provide mentorship, services, and programming that increase motivation, build resiliency, and foster a positive school climate for all students
  • Participate in professional growth opportunities through staff development, in-service, workshops, and other means
  • Other duties as assigned by the administrative staff
