We are seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist to join our team at ACCEL Schools. As an Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and behavioral goals of our students, with a focus on those with Individualized Education Programs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement effective intervention strategies, modifying general education curricula as needed.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to inform instruction and develop data-driven plans to support student achievement.
- Develop and implement behavior improvement plans to support students with behavioral challenges.
- Facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and develop IEP goals and objectives.
- Work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and support.
- Utilize research-based best practices to drive instruction and improve student outcomes.
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions.
- Provide academic support and guidance to students, including serving as an advisor for a designated group of students.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and growth.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, such as social events and field trips.
- Current state license holder.
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
- Experience working in a full inclusion or co-teaching model.
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred.
