SUMMARY: Full-service law firm seeking a reliable, hard-working, and detail orientated Court Runner/Legal Assistant to join our team. Experience working in a legal environment is preferred, but not necessary, only a willingness to learn.


HOURS: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (in person)


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: “Essential Duties” are primarily job duties that incumbent must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.


· Transporting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery materials, between law firms, courts, and other locations.

· Retrieving court filings, orders, and other documents from courthouses

· Draft certain legal correspondence and documents (court forms, emails, letters).

· Electronically file with NY State and Federal Courts.

· Photocopy, scan, assemble and distribute prepared materials as necessary.

· Ensuring documents are properly saved and filed in document management system.

Requirements:

- Must have own reliable transportation with current license, registration and auto insurance in place; Mileage reimbursed pursuant to IRS guidelines.
