Emerge, a global talent solutions company, is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Shipping and Logistics Coordinator job in Grand Prairie, TX for our client, a manufacturer of quality products and materials for the new commercial construction field. We are seeking candidates with experience building truckloads for shipment, using Purchase Orders/Pos, production planning and delivery routes. The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator will work directly with customers on order updates, delivery and shipping information, and issues with orders. Excellent telephone and customer service skills are required. This position will also use extensive MS office skills including Excel. This is a first shift position in a casual office environment within the Shipping and Logistics Department of a small, custom manufacturer. The Shipping and Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the operations manager of a small manufacturing facility. Our client offers an hourly pay rate of between $23 to $25 per hour, based on experience.


Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Shipping and Logistics Coordinator in Grand Prairie, TX includes:

  • Provides excellent service to customers regarding purchase orders, in process orders, shipments, shortages, and issues. Will follow up on all orders to ensure they were complete and correct.
  • Builds order loading and shipments, including delivery trucks, LTL and other shipments, logistics and delivery routes/plan.
  • Manages the production aspect to ensure orders are completed to build delivery loads.
  • Office support including MS Office (Excel required), emails, shop tracking reports, etc.
  • Handles all shipping and receiving paperwork.

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience as a Logistics and Shipping planner, building product delivery loads in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have experience working with P.O.s and Shipping and Receiving paperwork.
  • Excellent customer service skills including telephone, email, and follow up.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Must have experience with MS Office products including Excel.
