JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops production schedules for all manufacturing departments.
  • Expedites parts through the manufacturing process.
  • Establishes shipping dates for all customer orders.
  • Coordinates and schedules all custom parts with engineering and production.
  • Ensure that the customer is prepared for the delivery by communicating with them before shipment.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of finished tank accessory products and notifies the Purchasing Supervisor of any special items to be ordered to meet customer needs.
  • Promotes effective communication with internal and external organizations and customers through appropriate forms of communication: meetings, emails, conferences, etc.
  • Nurtures a team-oriented culture, employees are valued, trusted, and accountable. Employees are working towards the same goal with a focus on collective results.
  • Interacts with customers, outside sales, inside sales, sales management, engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel to accomplish duties.
  • Maintains and communicates the shipping schedule and adjusts for customer needs.
  • Manages outbound shipments, including preparation of shipping documents in ERP.
  • Coordinates with carriers to schedule trucks for an on-time delivery.
  • Supervises employees engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.
  • Processes completed shipments in the ERP system.
  • Ensure area processes are compliant with the Quality Management System; work in accordance with the QA team to improve processes throughout departments as required or viewed as necessary. Ensure the team is participating and submitting non-conformances to QA promptly. Work towards continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs; including but not limited to the process map, support processes, health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Complies with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Complies with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to type, handle, or feel objects, tools, or control; talk or hear.
  • Shift or overtime work may be required.
  • Standing and walking 6 to 8 hours daily
  • Bending/Stooping 6 to 8 hours daily
  • Lifting (weights up to 50 lbs.) occasionally
  • Travel less than 10%


EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Three years of relevant work experience is required
  • APICS CPIM Certification is preferred but not required.
