Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate counselor to deliver individual therapy to children and adolescents in a school-based setting on a 1099 contractual basis. The position involves providing counseling services across two local school districts in Columbiana County during regular school hours. The role offers a competitive reimbursement split and full transparency in billing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Commute between two school districts located within 5 miles of each other.
  • Create and manage own schedule.
  • Provide individual counseling sessions to students within the school.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine needs and progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with school staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Participate in regular supervision and staffing.
  • Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of mental health counseling.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field is required
  • Minimum LPC or LSW from the State of Ohio is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health counseling
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care
  • Experience working with children/adolescents
