Parts Manager Job Summary

As the Parts Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience to our internal and external customers; selling, inventory, and stocking of parts, providing technicians and service with parts and parts estimates, answering parts questions for retail customers, and answering phones. You'll also be responsible for following OEM process for inventory control, returns, and incentive earning possibilities, so completing online OEM training is of the utmost importance.


Parts Manager Responsibilities

  • Sell parts Retail and Wholesale
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Manage delivery of parts to wholesale customers
  • Ensure proper customer service during parts transactions
  • Become familiar with OEM parts processes
  • Complete all OEM parts counter training
  • Assist technicians with parts retrieval
  • Assist Service department with parts estimates
  • Answer phones in a prompt, professional manner
  • Control inventory, including monthly returns, maintaining a strict special order part process, core returns, loss prevention, and inventory

Parts Manager Qualifications

  • Parts/automotive experience not necessary but definitely a plus
  • Professional and reliable
  • Have good communication skills
  • Display excellent driving skills and follow all traffic laws
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Use proper safety processes/equipment.
