Position: Full Time Loading Assistant

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable loading assistant to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to our yard operations, assisting with various tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our facility. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, able to use front end loader, and possess a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, trees, plants, and equipment.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in the yard, including plants, tools, and supplies.
  • Run and operate a CAT front end loader
  • Operate basic yard equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Assist customers with locating products and loading purchases into their vehicles.
  • Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Help with general maintenance tasks such as sweeping, watering plants, and minor repairs.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to coordinate tasks and priorities.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to run a front-end loader
  • Must be available Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Must be available for alternate Saturdays 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or general labor position is beneficial but not required.
  • Must be able to work outside all day in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to run a front-end loader
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 80 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of yard equipment and tools is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
