In this role you will:
  • Oversee and schedule [Chemotherapy, Radiology, and Refer to Outside Specialists, etc.] for the appointed locations. Will also obtain any necessary records for scheduling these appointments such as previous results, radiology discs, etc.
  • Review and coordinate test instructions with patients and ensure their questions and/or concerns are answered prior to scheduled procedure/test date.
  • Work with Head Nurse to ensure all un-scheduled Chemotherapy, Shot Room appointments are moved out correctly. As well as call patients to schedule these appointments and verify they are authorized before patient arrives.
  • Set up Hospital Services such as Admissions, Transfusions, etc.
  • Obtain Stat results such as Pathology, Labs, Radiology, Clinical Records, etc. for Physicians and Nurses.
  • Handle all specialty requisitions such as Caris, BRACA, Foundation One, etc.
  • Assist clinical staff with calls. (Example: Coordinate a physician to speak with an internal physician call).
We require:
  • High school diploma, Bachelor’s/Associates degree preferred
  • At least one year of Medical Front Desk experience.
  • Multi-tasking, flexibility, customer service skills, time management, organization, attention to detail, scheduling, and professionalism talents.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word (EMR experience helpful).
  • Bi-lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
Hours:  Monday–Friday
Salary up to $25 per hourBenefits including Tuition Reimbursement, Health Insurance on day 1 of employment, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long term disability, 401k Plan, generous PTO time, 8 paid holidays (2 floating) and more.
