Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking a skilled Health Unit Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our nursing staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our patient care units.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care activities and services to ensure efficient and effective delivery of care.
- Assist with the coordination of ancillary services, such as laboratory and radiology tests.
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate and up-to-date information.
- Provide administrative support to nursing staff, including answering phones and responding to patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized courses or training preferred.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
- At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a patient care coordination role.
