Job Summary: The Project Manager for the Business Intelligence (BI) team will be responsible for coordinating and executing multiple projects simultaneously. This person will be responsible for interacting day-to-day with the BI team, ensuring the successful delivery of BI projects, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. The BI Project Manager will work closely with the BI Manager and project stakeholders to understand project objectives, communicate requirements to team members, and oversee quality control throughout a project’s lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Coordination and Execution:

o Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of BI projects, ensuring they meet business requirements and are completed on time

o Continuously monitor project progress and provide regular updates on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables

o Manage resources effectively to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects

2. Team Lead:

o Work closely with data and BI engineer team members to ensure project and task clarity and help remove blockers

o Facilitate communication within the team, cross-functionally, and with leadership to ensure smooth project execution

o Facilitate team meetings and ensure clear communication of project goals, expectations, and priorities

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

o Regularly communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to stakeholders and BI leadership

o Gather feedback from stakeholders and ensure their requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle

4. Risk Management:

o Identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure that any issues are resolved promptly

o Monitor project risks and work with team members to implement risk management plans as necessary

5. Data Quality and Governance:

o Ensure data quality and consistency from the source systems feeding BI tools

o Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards and business objectives

o Conduct post-project evaluations and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements to inform ongoing project work

6. Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project requirements and plans, progress reports, and issue logs

o Reinforce that proper technical documentation is being maintained by the BI team throughout the data and BI process, from ingestion to modeling and visualization

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; or PMP certification + 3 years of Project Management experience

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, preferably within a BI or IT environment

· Prior experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or BI engineer

· Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Proficiency with Jira project management software preferred

· Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies preferred

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Bias toward data-driven solutions
